#EcoMonday tip 10: Take a Hike!
A lot of 'eco-blogs' are flooded with messages and reviews of so called NEV's (Neighborhood Electric Vehicle) and electric bicycles. It keeps surprising me those blogs promote these types of vehicles as alternative for car rides under 5km. The CO2 emission of these so called eco-friendly vehicles might be nil, but producing them and braking them down leaves a huge ecological footprint. - Walking for at least thirty minutes a day reduces the chance of a heart attack drasticly. In some cases more than 50%!
- Walking reduces chance of injuries.
- Bye bye obesity, and thereby lowering the chance of getting type 2 diabetes, heart disease, stroke, cancer, sleep apnea, and osteoarthritis.
- You actually get to see where you're going!
