Let's start this monday morning with some good news: great ideas and products are out there. Tom Broadbent, an industrial design student at DMU, came up with a good one a while back. In order to guide waste water out of our houses and buildings we use gravity; it (necessarily) 'falls' through pipes to reach the sewer. This water moves and movement can be converted to energy. According to Tom, once installed in the building HighDro Power can save around US$1,410 or else the energy generated can simply be sold back to the national grid on a buy-back tariff.
