Cheer up, here is Makey Makey, a simple invention kit to keep them busy in a creative way. Turn everyday objects into touchpads and combine them with the internet, doing interactive art, engineering, and everything in-between from whimsical inventions to  electronic music.
What materials work with Makey Makey? Any material that can conduct at least a tiny bit of electricity will work. Here are some materials people have used in our workshops including Ketchup, Pencil Graphite, Finger Paint, Lemons, etc.
Your kids’ summer holiday will soon be over. Then automn break will come, and Santa Claus and Christmas... Ages 8 to infinity.
