STMicroelectronics’ new EMIF03-SIM05F3 is the first EMI filter solution tuned for Near-Field Communication (NFC) ready applications. Providing low clamp and ultra-low capacitance ESD protection on Single Wire Protocol (SWP) lines, the new device interfaces with the SIM card, the application processor and the NFC controller. The EMIF03-SIM05F3 is a drop-in replacement for existing devices, and delivers a simple and fast NFC implementation for emerging contactless applications.


The device is build using ST’s Integrated Passive and Active Devices (IPAD) technology and housed in a Flip-Chip package with a 400 um pitch.
