Countless technologies are on display from thousands of exhibitors today at electronica 2022. What stood out on Day 1? Automotive solutions. Here's an overview of just some of the many automotive- and mobility-related tech on display in Munich.

Melexis

Right next to Elektor’s booth in Hall B4, Melexis informed attendees about some of its automotive solutions, including its high-speed animated lighting. Using an engaging presentation, Melexis staffers presented its scalable lighting architecture. The benefits? All the LEDs are connected via local interconnect network (LIN) and MeLiBu, the number of RGG LEDs are easy to scale, and more.

About a week ago, the company announced the MLX91230 and the MLX91231, which offer access to shunt or Hall type current sensor technologies. These ASIL-compliant devices can measure voltage, temperature, and current. You benefit from flexibility and design reusability in their electric vehicle power systems. B-Horizon

B-Horizon, a Sinzing, Germany-based microelectronics manufacturer, demonstrated its N-Neo Car Seat at booth B4.500. Equipped with intelligent sensors, the B-Neo set is intended to improve the user experience associated with automated driving. According to the B-Horizon, “B-Neo is able to measure multiple parameters simultaneously and can be applied to a wide range of products.”

“Intelligent sensors are increasingly needed in the vehicle interior and especially in the seat, because they are of essential importance for the next stages of automated driving,” Managing Director Mohammad Kabany explained in a release. Moreover, “the B-Neo Car Seat with its unique sensor system is tailored to these new requirements.”

Inova Semiconductors

Interested in connectivity for automotive light and vision? Munich-based Inova Semiconductors might have the solution for you. While exhibiting at electronica 2022, the company demonstrated its APIX, ISELED and ILaS technologies at booth B4.301.

ISELED applications include functional lighting, ambient lighting and dynamic light effects. APIX3 addresses the enhanced requirements for cockpit and infotainment architectures in vehicles. Integrated in INAP375T transmitter and INAP375R receiver devices, you benefit from high-speed differential data transmission over a single twisted pair cable.

Kyocera

At the Kyocera AVX booth, attendees are informed about the company’s proven component solutions optimized for advanced automotive applications, as well as components for the industrial, communications, and military markets. A few automotive solutions stood out, including EV charging, ADAS, E-Latch, and Key-Less tech. The solutions on display at booth B4.502 include advanced capacitors, antennas, interconnects, circuit protection devices, sensors, controls, filters, fuses, diodes, resistors, couplers, and inductors.
