New Version of Platino—Cheaper and More Features
Platino is Elektor's universal Arduino-compatible AVR board for 28- and 40-pin ATmega controllers. The PCB was overhauled and updated to v1.4. This version of Platino has significantly improved from the previous version.
Platino is Elektor's universal Arduino-compatible AVR board for 28- and 40-pin ATmega controllers. The PCB was overhauled and updated to v1.4. This version of Platino has significantly improved from the previous version.
The new version features, along with the 5-V voltage regulator, a 3.3-V regulator, and the second UART of a 40-pin AVR microcontroller is now easily accessible. Furthermore, an additional PCB screw terminal block to the power supply has been added, and the component overlay silk screen on both sides of the PCB has improved, so the risk of making a mistake when building is minimized.
Platino integrates seamlessly into the Arduino IDE (from v1.6.6) with the extensive library of drivers for the on-board options, which you can download for free here.
