New Webinar: Digital Signal Processing using Microcontrollers
Elektor Academy & element14 are ringing in the New Year with one of their most challenging webinars yet!
Digital Signal Processing (DSP) is the process of capturing, analyzing, and manipulation of usually an analog signal by a digital processor, e.g. a digital computer.
The theory of DSP is quite complex and requires good understanding of higher mathematics. If you’re relatively new to DSP, attempting to apply complicated equations to a real-life digital filter can be a daunting and difficult task. For this reason, our upcoming webinar will focus on the basic principles of DSP, using a discourse that leans towards practical application and shies away from overly complex math.
The practical aspects of DSP are demonstrated using widely available, low cost, general purpose microcontrollers so that DSP applications can be designed with ease and cheaply.
Presenting this month’s webinar is Dogan Ibrahim, author of the Elektor bestseller ‘Practical Digital Signal Processing using Microcontrollers’ and Professor at Near East University, Cyprus. With almost thirty years of experience in real-time embedded systems design and digital signal processing, and with over sixty technical textbooks published, there is no one better suited to guiding you through DSP.
The webinar will focus on using high-end PIC18F series of microcontrollers. Reference will be made to author's recent DSP book which can be previewed (for free) and purchased through the Elektor website.
