The 60-W and 80-W solder stations have smart functions to reduce energy consumption, increase ease of use and prolong soldering tip life. For instance, the station automatically detects when it is not being used and goes into standby mode or shuts down after a programmable time delay of 1 to 120 minutes.
The front panel has a clear LCD temperature display and a warm-up status indicator. The temperature can be adjusted easily, and there are three preset buttons for direct selection of predefined temperatures. The separate modular soldering iron holder can be placed at any desired location on the bench. The heater in the soldering tip has four cores for fast heating. The standard tip from the 900M series can easily be detached and replaced by another type.
