Rutronik Elektronische Bauelemente GmbH is expanding its portfolio to include intelligent, innovative display solutions from the Australian LCD and OLED specialist 4D Systems. The distribution agreement encompasses all of the company’s products, is applicable worldwide, and is already in effect.
4D Systems offers intelligent displays (LCD and OLED) in sizes ranging from 0.96“ to 7.0“ at resolutions of up to 800 × 480 pixels (with touch panels, cover glass, and frames available as added options), expansion modules and adapters to directly connect the displays to single-board computers such as Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and Beaglebone Black, as well as free software to program them – making extremely fast application development possible. In addition, the majority of the products are also available as starter kits, which particularly benefits start-ups and developers.
4D Systems’ innovative and cost-effective products are suitable for a wide range of markets and applications in which technologically outdated solutions – such as control buttons on coffee machines – are replaced with intelligent displays. Furthermore, 4D Systems stands out due to its extensive product documentation and rapid support.
Demand for Intelligent Displays Growing “Rutronik has many customers with a demand for intelligent displays, because they offer almost limitless possibilities of implementing an application extremely quickly. Looking for a fully functional tool to support developers in this space, we found an experienced partner in 4D Systems,” says Vincenzo Santoro, Senior Manager Product Marketing Displays at Rutronik.
Markku Riihonen, Product & Business Development Manager EMEA at 4D Systems, adds: „We are very excited to get started working with Rutronik and finding new customer opportunities together. More and more designers and manufactures are wishing to upgrade their existing products with beautiful touch enabled full colour HMI interfaces. However, this can be a difficult task for many, and there have been many potentially lost opportunities in capturing business by offering standard “dumb” display modules. It will be exciting to see new opportunities rise as our relationship with Rutronik grows and we get to introduce 4D Systems’ solutions to new and existing Rutronik customers.“
