SIGLENT presents the extension of its vector network analyzer series SNA5000A
[Partner Content] With the expansion of the vector network analyzer series SNA5000A to 26.5 GHz, SIGLENT completes its range of microwave measurement technology and addresses the increasing demand.
The further development of radio and mobile communication technologies leads to an increase in applications in the microwave frequency range. This is also having an effect on the measurement technology market, where it is changing the requirements on the one hand and leading to a sharp increase in the need for high-performance measurement technology on the other. An important part of the development and optimization process is the verification of active and passive components and networks. With the expansion of the vector network analyzer series SNA5000A to 26.5 GHz, SIGLENT completes its range of microwave measurement technology and addresses the increasing demand.
SIGLENT Technologies presents the expansion of the SNA5000A vector network analyzer series, which was released around 18 months ago. The two new models are available in the bandwidths of 13.5 GHz and 26.5 GHz. After the introduction of the HF generator SSG5000A (up to 20 GHz) and the spectrum analyzer SSA5000A (up to 26.5 GHz) in September 2022, SIGLENT is now completing its range of HF measurement technology solutions up to 26.5 GHz with these new models.
The difference to the existing models of the SNA5000A series, which are available as 2- or 4-port analyzers, the new models (SNA5022A/SNA5032A) are only offered in the 2-port version for the time being. The dynamic range spans 125 dB and enables, for example, a precise analysis of the stopband of a filter without losing sight of the passband. All typical S-parameters and, with the 4-port devices, also all differential S-parameters can be measured. With the help of the options SNA5000-TDA (Time Domain Analysis) or SNA5000-TDR (Advanced Time Domain Analysis) it is possible to carry out analyzes in the time domain. This includes, among other things, the display of the eye diagram and the measurement of jitter. As an option, the series can also be supplemented with spectrum analyzer functionality.
The accuracy of a network analyzer is very closely linked to the accuracy of the calibration. Depending on the application, different calibration techniques are necessary to obtain optimal results. The SNA5000A series offers a variety of options for this. The changeable reference plane, port matching and embedding/de-embedding of test sockets make it possible to reduce external influences. The SNA5000A series VNAs offer five sweep types: linear and logarithmic frequency sweep, output power sweep, time domain sweep, and segmented sweep. The formula editor and the mask test support the developer in the analysis of his test object and accelerate the evaluation and verification. The large 12-inch touchscreen can be flexibly configured so that several windows with different measurements can be clearly displayed. The shortcut menu helps with configuration and offers quick access to the most important functions. The device supports external mouse and keyboard and can be controlled from the computer with the integrated web server without external software.
