Skype’s the limit - 100 year old Doris speaks to her friend
A lady from Badminton Gardens, Hanover's newest Extra care housing estate in Downend, South Gloucestershire, who was born in 1911, and has vivid memories of the First World War has taken her first Skype master class on the eve of the estates official opening.
Hanover resident 100 year-old Doris Peacock was joined by Age UK National Internet Champion Margaret Goodwin for an internet master class which included a whole host of top tips which included talking to friends Roger and Val on Skype, television streaming and some money saving tips.
The masterclass comes hot on the heels of the launch of the Badminton Centre, a dedicated room within the Extra Care estate where residents can go to use the internet for free.
