SquareOne Returns to CES Las Vegas
The French startup Wizama is back at CES in Las Vegas with the new generation of its console that merges the worlds of video games and board games: the SquareOne. Last year, this console received an award in the Gaming category.
SquareOne is the meeting between two universes: board game which has physical and inclusive values and qualities, and video game which has immersive and scripted inclinations.
On the console developed by Wizama, the cards and pawns come to life on the touchscreen display which is embellished with NFC-RFID sensors. The dice are automatically recognized, as well as their result, in a dedicated support coming from an imaging technology.
With a games catalogue of different genres for all ages, SquareOne removes cultural barriers: 32 languages can be selected by each player simultaneously, offering new ways to play together. Enriched with artificial intelligence, it adapts to the age and knowledge of the players. SquareOne presents interactive tutorials during the game, manages rounds, counts points, and saves progress. Players can easily stop and start again when and where they want.

The playing cards developed in partnership with Paragon ID are designed to immerse players into the various game worlds offered in the Wizama catalogue.
