As you know, in mid-November, Elektor proudly joined the electronica 2024 trade show in Munich. One of the highlights of the event was the electronica Fast Forward 2024 startup competition, hosted by electronica and Elektor. This exciting initiative provides a global stage for start-ups in the electronics industry to showcase their innovations, network with industry leaders, and compete for recognition and significant prizes. The start-ups presented their groundbreaking ideas to the public! In this year’s competition, innovative solutions took center stage. Banyan.eco presented its AI-driven platform designed to measure and reduce product and company-wide carbon footprints, taking a major step towards ecodesign and sustainability. Icecap demonstrated a revolutionary multi-stage thermoelectric cooling technology, achieving over 20% efficiency improvements through advanced control algorithms and compact insulation systems. BTRY amazed audiences with batteries that charge in under a minute and retain energy for years, leveraging advanced semiconductor fabrication methods. Meanwhile, SpeedPox showcased UV-triggered fast-curing epoxy resins, cutting curing times from hours to minutes and dramatically reducing energy consumption—a game-changer for industries relying on adhesives and printed electronics.
