About the author

Hans Schneider picked up his first soldering iron at the age of 12. After starting out with radio kits, he has remained true to his hobby ever since. His first major project was the legendary Edwin amplifier, published by Elektor in 1970. After discontinuing his studies in electrical engineering — finding it was not what he had imagined — he switched universities and trained as a teacher of technology and physics. Schneider later served as principal of a large comprehensive school in Aachen. Today, his main interests revolve around Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and related technologies.
