semiconductor tester (diodes, transistor, mosfet)
did you have ever tried to find connections for a transistor o mosfet with bad luck? no more with this easy project!
It' s a microprocessor based (pic16f867) little system, it gives all possible biases to the terminals and it extracts the right connections, then it estimates beta (and beta in the reverse connection) for transistors and tranconductance for mosfets.
For diodes it just measures direct voltage with 1mA direct current.
It goes without saying that bad semiconductors are immediately discovered.
Everithing is done by the pic, 5 adc channels measure voltage and currents, the pwm dac generates the variable base/gate signal.
IMHO design is complete, perhaps just the human interface might be improved.
