An oscilloscope -is an extremely useful, and in some cases virtually indispensable piece of equipment, which however, because of its price, is beyond the reach of most amateur constructors. This article takes a look at one idea for circumventing this problem, namely adapting an ordinary TV receiver for use as a low-cost oscilloscope for low fre-quency applications (up to roughly 200 kHz).
