Burglar deterrent lighting

A simple switching clock which keeps one light on in the evening hours when you are not at home is no Ionger taken seriously as a burglar deterrent. The circuit described here tackles the job of fooling the burglar in a much more sophisticated way by adding a human touch. While traditional clocks switch lamps on and off at fixed, preprogrammed times, the circuit presented here does so at random intervals, providing a realistic suggestion of people being at home.
