Many designers nowadays almost
automatically include one
of the popular 3-pin voltage regulators in power supply designs.
It is almost as if thev have
forgotten that there are-other
ways of regulating as well. The
present circuit, for instance,
shows a simple regulator which
is useful if the requirements on
the power supply are not too
stringent. The circuit is very
simple and inexpensive to build.
