Mains adaptors are
used more and more
frequently to power
small equipment. A
drawback of this is
that even when the
equipment is
switched off, the
adaptor continues to
draw a small current
from the mains supply.
The present
switch reduces this
current and at the
same time offers the
incidental benefit of
decreasing the stray
field around the
adaptor.
