The LTC6754 from Linear Technology is a high speed comparator that can toggle at rates up to 890 Mbps and provides a Low Voltage Differential Signal (LVDS) output powered from a single rail supply in the range of 2.4 to 5.25 V. The input stage is tolerant of voltage swings outside the supply rails, making it suitable for ground sensing applications. The comparator has a propagation delay of 1.8 ns, with 1 ns overdrive dispersion and 1.5 psRMS of jitter.
Key Features of the LTC6754:
o Propagation delay: 1.8 ns Typ.
o Overdrive dispersion: 1 ns Typ.
(10 mV to 125 mV Overdrive)
o Toggle rate: 890 Mbps Typ.
o LVDS compatible output stage
o Rail-to-Rail inputs extend beyond both rails
o Quiescent current: 13.4 mA
o Supply range: 2.4 V to 5.25 V
o Features within the LTC6754 family:
Separate input and output supplies
Shutdown pin for reduced power
Output latch and adjustable hysteresis
The LTC 6754 family is available as an SC70 or 12-lead 3 x 3 mm QFN package. Both versions are available in two temperatures ranges; -40º to +85ºC and -40º to +125ºC. The 3 x 3 mm QFN package provides additional connections for adjustable hysteresis, latching capability, separate input and output supplies and shutdown. The unit price starts at $1.93 per unit in quantities of 1,000 units.
