on
Anaren has announced a family of four Anaren Integrated Radio (AIR) modules specifically designed to facilitate the development of wireless communication products complying with the ZigBee standard. Based on the Texas Instruments (TI) CC2530 low-power RF SoC, which operates using TI's Z-Stack firmware, the new family of AIR modules is bundled with the AIR Support for ZigBee suite.
AIR Support for ZigBee include time-saving AIR-ZNP firmware with over 30 code examples, pre-certification for applicable global regulatory standards, and development tools such as the company's new BoosterPack for TI MSP430 and Stellaris LaunchPad development kits.
The A2530x24xxx AIR modules offer an average receiver sensitivity and interference immunity of -95 dBm and operate over an input voltage range of 2.2 to 3.6 V. They are fully RF tested in production. Along with low power active modes, the modules feature three low power / sleep modes from 1 to 200 μA.
