New Audi A4 gets MOST150 technology from Microchip

Audi AG employs the MOST150-technology from Microchip in the high-end cockpit infotainment system of the new A4 Sedan. To be more specific, the OS81110 and the OS81118 Intelligent Network Interface Controllers (INICs) are used to establish a fast network. The INICs offer speeds up to 150 Mbps and support all MOST network data types. The OS81118 also has a High Speed USB 2.0 interface on board to provide a seamless connection to the SoC processor of the virtual cockpit system.
Since 2001 about 200 million MOST interface controllers have been built into 194 different models of automobile. The MOST technology has been successfully deployed in multi-node infotainment systems on offers a proven solution with a low risk.
