STMicroelectronics has introduced two rugged 36-V opamps for automotive and industrial applications. The opamps feature a wide supply voltage range, high stability under difficult operating conditions, and ESD tolerance up to 4 kV.
The TSB572 and TSB611 single opamps are the first devices produced using ST’s new 40V-ready BiCMOS² semiconductor fabrication process. This technology delivers a superior gain bandwidth to supply current ratio, approximately five times better than with standard opamps. The devices also have low input offset voltage and low temperature drift (<6 μV/°C), which simplifies circuit design and eliminates the need for trimming or calibration.
The TSB572, with rail-to-rail inputs and output, has a 2.5 MHz gain-bandwidth product (GBW) and 1.5 mV maximum input offset. The opamp is stable with capacitive loads and highly resistant to phase reversal. The supply voltage range is 4.0 to 36 V. The TSB611 has a 560 kHz GBW and can operate with supply voltages as low as 2.7 V. It is unity gain stable and has a very low input offset voltage of 1 mV.
