Welcome to our newest section on TechTheFuture! In true web 2.0 fashion we dedicate one article a week to Twitter's #EcoMonday! Every week we'll offer you a simple applicable tip to up your sustainability-rating.
The first one is about as easy as it gets - Brazilians know what's up - PEE IN THE SHOWER. You probably do both (pee + shower) every morning anyway, so why not a happy combination? Saving your toilet one flush a day will save you around 10 liters of water (that's what you flush). That's 3.650 liters of water a year (yes, this is a very crude calculation :P). And not only will this save you and mother earth the valuable water, it will also save you CASH; around € 5.50 a year (based on Dutch price for drinking water - around 0,15ct per liter). Put that in your solar-cell-saving-fund!
