Elektor January/February 2024

Power- and energy-related projects have been popular in Elektor for decades. Here are just a few examples. In 1981, we presented an audio power meter that used a moving coil meter to give a linear indication of the power level fed to loudspeakers. In 1999, we published an article about a power diode for solar power systems to keep the energy loss minimal. And, more recently, in 2021, we published Dr. Thomas Scherer’s popular balcony power plant project. Join us as we kick off 2024 with a new issue of Elektor Mag packed with projects and insights related to power and energy: optimizing balcony power plants, a simple PV power regulator, a Q&A with Simon Engelke about energy storage solutions, an ESP32-based energy meter, OpenDTU for balcony power plants, a variable linear power supply upgrade, and much more. Enjoy! Make sure you share your projects on the Elektor Labs platform.

Innovate to win! Don’t forget to participate in the STM32 Wireless Innovation Design Contest for a chance to showcase your design skills and to win a share of €5,000 in cash prizes. Choose an approved STM32-based solution and start designing today. The project submission deadline is February 19, 2024.
