Hi Jennifer,

I know you are a Bluetooth fan, but why Bluetooth? Freezers are often far away in garages & cellars, behind several doors and walls. Will your iPhone be placed next to the freezer? Will it be able to send email from there?

If your phone is not next to the freezer, then why should it send email? You can see the alert on your phone, right?

Hi David, Thanks about my "projects flow" but my principal job don't ask me some imagination then i find it in BLTE. About freezer, i put the CTN inside and the box (CR123A and Bluetooth module) outside. I use the same project than "outside thermometer" and futur "moisture plants" Best regards Jennifer

Hi Jennifer, I follow your projects with attention, it's obvious, you are in love with BTLE ! ;-) I was wondering about putting the battery coin inside the freezer, but they seem to work at temparatures down to -30°C (CR2032), enough for your application. Did you ever try to enclose a BT module in a freezer ? Don't you think the whole steel wase won't attenuate or even stop RF transmission ? And I just have to add that I'm impressed with your projects flow. You almost have one new project per month ! Impressive ! ;-) Best regards, .David.

Hi Clemens, I changed the title ... Yes, I am a fan of Bluetooth especially BL600 Laird Technology 1) Why Bluetooth? - My freezer is not far from my iPhone and my computer, I don't live in a castle :-) - No need external power, only 4μA on standby - The PCB is ready - The program of the Bluetooth module is very very very simple : BASIC language - The module is programming serial port - IOS The program works very well (still calculating NTC resistor) - The Windows program starts running - The MAC program is interesting to do 2) Why not wireless? - Wifi module requires external power supply - The wireless module is complex to set up, it needs a computer (USB. ..), a screen / Calvier as my project "Bluetooth Where I want ..." or WPS button - Advantage, no worries for iOS applications, ANDROID, PC and MAC Do you want a wifi freezer alarm ?
