Using your hand as a mouse
The idea is to use an accelerometer (the MMA7361) and place this on the top of your hand. An Atmel controller (AtTiny45) reads the accelerometer and sends this over USB to the computer. The computer will recognize this as a standard HID mouse, making your hand control the mouse pointer on your screen. It will feel very sci-fi like and might even reduce RSI problems.

Hi Tim,
that´s a great idea and I think this should then also be possible to reproduce all kind of movements to allkind of electronics - needs just some good conditioned analog parts and some well used guys, for programming a software therefore and then maybe somekind of standards of handling this. With such a thing, the dancer could get part of the music, with a little case from the entrance of the danceclub and so on - this should then be perfomable on musical instruments, so let´s look to the sensors datasheets...
