There are many hardware modules available for the GPS tracking of vehicles and other movable goods. However, to analyze the data, you typically have to send it to an external server in the cloud to be saved and represented. The open-source software Traccar is a solution that enables you to host the server on-premises, allowing you to decide who has access to your data. Traccar can run on a Raspberry Pi and works together with the Node-RED automation framework.
