In recent years the use of biofeedback techniques to achieve conscious control of brain activity has become extremely popular. Of particular interest is `alpha feedback` which, by stimulating the production of alpha-waves, promotes relaxation. Many designs for alpha monitors have been published, but most of these have provided an audible output. As the brain is better equipped to respond to visual stimuli, the design presented here provides a visual output on a TV screen.
