Due to the previous successes of the AF 100 Bi-Quad active filter and the AFl 20 Gyrator, National Semi-conductor has introduced two new standard `building block` filters, the AF 1 SO and AF 1 S 1. The AF I SO is a high frequency version of the AFl00. Whereas the AFl00 is limited to an upper frequency of 10 kHz and a center frequency- Q product of 50,000, the new AF 150 has extended the upper frequency range to 100 kHz and center frequency - Q products to 200,000. This has been accomplished by using high frequency operational amplifiers and laser trimmed resistors.
