high power motor controller
high power motor controller This high power motor regulator features the Ferranti ZN 419CN and is capable of controlling electric motors in models with a power consump- tion of up to 25 A. The IC incorporates a pulse- width modulator which drives the motor via an external output amplifier. The length of the steering pulse, delivered by the receiver multiplex decoder built into the model, is compared with a reference pulse from the IC. The thus generated differential signal controls the motor via the outputs (pins 5 and 9) and the power stage. When the "joystick" is in the centre (zero 4,8 V 2x BC 557 81540 setting), P1 holds the reference signal in a position whereby the motor stops. The rotational direction of the motor is dependent on the signal at pin 4 which, when positive, causes transistors T3 and T5 twon a forward to be switched off and the motor runs i transistors direction. When pin 4 is low, the sed via oron is rever conduct, and the direction of rotati attentionshould...
