While we do not make a practice of publishing complete data sheets, however, application or design notes can sometimes be very useful. Such is the case with the TDA 1220A from SGS-Ates. This IC forms the basis of a complete AM/FM receiver with many outstanding features. Current consumption is only 9 mA making it ideal for use as a portable receiver. The AM section of the TDA 1220A IC con- sists of a preamplifier, a mixer, an oscillator, an IF amplifier including an internal AGC and a push-pull detector. The FM section con- tains an IF amplifier, a limiter, a quadrature- detector and a VLF preamplifier.
