This makes it possible to design a class B amplifier in which both types operate with "time sharing" — to borrow a term from the computer field. Since there are limits to the power rating of such a MOSFET, we have used what could be described as double "job sharing" in this design: an output stage with two N-channel and two P-channel MOSFETs. The result is an output stage capable of great output power and exhibiting extremely low distortion.
