The 9-way D-connector at the edge of the mother board offers the possibility of controlling the model railway by computer. This opens the way for fully automatic control of locomotives, turnouts (points), signals, protection of selected seetions of the track, service schedules, simulated inertia of trains, combining locomotives for heavy goods trains, the switching of additional functions in rolling stock, and more.
