Intel's 8751 is a powerful
8-bit microcontroller with
an on-board EPROM that
provides a fairly secure
way of protecting the
internal code. The unit
described here puts you in
a position to run a blank
check on a 8751, read its
contents (if not protected)
and, of course, program
the device. The
programmer, which uses
an 8751H for its own
'intelligence', is an
extremely simple circuit
wh ich works in conjunction with an IBM PC or compatible sporting an RS232 outlet.
Comprehensive support software, including assembler and down load utilities, are
supplied on a disk for this project.
