Following the circuit description in our January 1991 issue, we will now focus
our attention on the practical construction
of the preamplifier. The busboard and the motherboard is shown in this article.
The bushoard contains all the components
and the SOURCE SELECT and RECORD SELECT switches. These switches are
fitted with extension spindles toenable them
to be controlled from the front panel.
The motherboard contains the components with the exception of
the controls, which are fitted on the front panel. By virtue of its double-sided and through plated
design, this board will be fairly easy
to populate.
Most of the work lies in preparing the enclosure
and connecting the controls to the
motherboard.
