Radiocommunications equipment forPMR
or ISM applications is designed for narrow-band
channels. In the majority of European
countries this means a channel spacing of
12.5 kHz or 25 kHz, where the carrier frequeney
of a channel is 12.5 kHz or 25 kHz
away from the car-rier frequencies on the
upper and lower adjacent channels. The
method of modulation is generally FM and
the maximum frequency deviation is 2.5 kHz
or 5.0 kHz respectively.
