The TLC247x family from
Texas Instruments is aseries
of integrated circuits
specifically designed to make
driving a loudspeaker with an
analogue or a pulse-width
modulated signal as simple as
possible. Practically
everything is contained in
these ICs to supply apower of
about 500 milliwatts (peak) to
a miniature 8-ohm
loudspeaker. Apart from the
IC, only a handful of passive
parts is required.
