The circuit described is based on a
Type DS1620 temperalure sensor
from Dallas Semiconductor. This device
can measure temperature wtth a
resolution of 0.5 °C over the range -55
°C to +100 °C. Moreover, since it contains
two 8-bit non-volatile memories,
it can give an alarm above and below
programmed limits.
