Although the stereo

Type CS3310 from
Crystal Semiconductor
is designed primarily for
audio systems, it may
also be used to
upgrade existing systems
by praviding programmable
level control.
These applications
may include automatic
test equipment and
industrial control. It contains
a 16-bit serial interface
that controls two
independent, low-distortion
audio channels.
The simple 3-wire interface
provides daisychaining
of a number of
CS3310s for multi-channel
audio systems. The
device includes an array
of well-matched resistors
and a low-noise
active output stage that
is capable of driving a
600 Q load. The
CS331 0 operates from
+5 V supplies and has
an input/output voltage
range of +3.75 V.
