Most ohmmeters and
cable testers have either
a moving-coil meter or a
liquid crystal display
(LCD). The circuit described
here presents a
viable alternative to
these traditional indicators.
A row of six LEDs
is used to indicate resistance
values between
10 ohm and about
1 mega-ohm, while a
buzzer and another LED
are activated when a resistance
value between
nought and 2 ohm is
measured.
