This circuit converts a serial
pulse train into a sinusoidal
output voltage consisting of
30 discrete steps. The 4-bit output
of up/down counter TC1,
QA-QD, is applied to the inputs
of a 4-to-16-line demultiplexer,
IC3. Counter IC1 supplies
binary codes that repeatedly
scan the range 0000
through 1111, and then back to
0000 again.
