After a battery has been discharged,
it is often found that
tbe separate cells have been
discharged to different values.
This is, of course, not good
for the battery and may
shorten its life considerably,
which is an expensive business.
This danger may be prevented
by discharging the
cells individually by a circuit
such as the one in the diagram.
Since this discharger is
inexpensive to build, several
can be used in parallel.
