High-frequency signals
cannot be measured
with standard
voltmeters or multimeters.
Such voltages,
which are commonplace
in
receivers, transmitters
and other high-frequency
equipment,
can only be measured
with a special,
wide-band millivoltmeter.
Commercial
versions of this kind
of instrument tend to
be expensive. This
article shows that if
certain limitations are
acceptable, it is possible
to construct a
suitable instrument
with modest means.
