XLR-to-audio-socket switch

The 20-bit ADC in the December 1996 issue of this magazine was fitted with symmetrical Inputs (as is usual in a professional appliance). However, in view of non-professional readers, the unit was also able to process asymmetrical signals. The unit may be extended with normal audio sockets to make working with asymmetrical signals a little easier. How this may be done is shown in the article.
