SMD adaptor

EPROM and micrccontroller programmers are invariably provided with a ZIF socket to hold the component to be programmed. However, surface mounted devices (SMDs), which are used more and more often, have an SOJ or SOP case, so that they cannot be programmed in existing programmers without a special adaptor.
