Many designers
shy away from
using JFET transistors
although
numerous circuits
would benefit
from using these
devices. Whenever
very high
input impedance,
high operating
frequency and relatively
low noise
are paramount
design requirements,
a JFET
may be a good
choice. This article
aims at
removing some of
the general hesitation
about using JFETs by
describing a simple
tester that allows you
to measure two crucial
electrical parameters
of these devices.
