The hardware and Windows 95 software discussed in this article enables you to program Microchip’s highly successful 16C84 and 16F84 microcontrollers, as well as Atmel’s ‘AVR’ types AT90S1200, AT90S2313, AT90S4414 and AT90S8515. All of these RISC ‘beasts’ are incircuit programmable, and offer internal Flash/EEPROM program memory, static RAM, various input/output lines and another EEPROM for the microcontroller to write to.
