Microsoft Windows looks poised to reign supreme as
the operating system for PCs used at home and in
the small office. Competition is weak, other manufacturers
having given up or left the market after a
short death struggle. And yet, there is hope. An operating
system called Linux appears to be a good
alternative for Windows. In stark contrast with Microsoft
Windows, Linux is the fruit of own users.
