The Type NH-3 humidity sensor

may be replaced by a lightdependent
resistor, LDR, or a
resistor with negative temperature
coefficient, NTC—see diagram.
There are other devices as
well: the main requirement is
that they can be driven by an
alternating voltage, that is, that
they are non-polarized.
